I don’t know where else to post… I have a one year old and I’m completely overwhelmed. I’ve been crying almost non stop for the last 24 hours.

Ive been solo parenting for the last 8 days as my partner is a wildland fire fighter. He may be away another week or two. I recently moved to a new country 3 months ago for the fire season so that my partner could work. We’ve been apart plenty pre baby and apart twice for 10 days post birth of baby but this time is feeling really tough.

My grandad died last week and I think that the grief is surfacing. Tomorrow is my daughters first birthday party and 80% of the people coming are my partners friends and family. I have no idea how to get everything done when my body and mind are telling me to just stop and slow down.

I have seen this discussion online following people opening up about the desire to become parents without a partner. One example, is Cristiano Ronaldo. The people in the comments mostly talked about the negatives that occurs when a parent conceived a child by CHANCE, which means they didn’t have much resources to begin with. That is already a disadvantage. But I don’t think people can compare having children by chance with having children by choice, regardless of the number of people having the child.
